Murphy

Murphy is the happiest and friendliest of boys! A true lab personality, he loves romping and playing, but then snoozing for hours.

Here is Murphy's List of Loves: Loves being around people, will whine when not around people, but settles in after a few minutes. Loves all other dogs without reserve, thinks every dog is his new best friend, same with people, absolutely loves everyone. Loves having his chin scratched. Loves toys, especially the squeaky type. Makes no attempt to escape yard. Loves knocking over his water bowl, so recommend some type of heavy bowl. Eats Diamond Naturals brand wet food.

Looking for an active home that will take him on hikes & adventures; flexible work schedule; would love a dog friend but not required.
FRIENDLY, SHY, ACTIVE, PLAYFUL, SMART, AFFECTIONATE, OBEDIENT.

1 yr Lab/Viszla Mix, 60 lbs -- $350 to help HFP cover the cost to save his ear.
Adoption Donation includes Neuter, Vaccinations & Microchip, as well as flea/tick prevention, and monthly preventatives.

Bear

Baby Bear was born out of an accidental liter from the farm next door. His mama was a sweet, purebred Great Pyrenees and the father was a Great Dane (looks exactly like papa).

Bear was adopted as an 8 week old puppy but returned to us at 15 weeks in an emergency situation. Bear had eaten socks twice and needed emergency surgery to remove the obstruction. They felt like they could not care for Bear anymore due to financial and emotional stress from the sock-eating. They surrendered Bear back to us and we got him in the same day for a costly surgery the community helped us partially cover.

He is currently in foster care recovering from his ordeal. We are taking extreme precautions to make sure he doesn't get into mischief with socks. Bear wears a basket muzzle in the house, or is monitored without one but vigilantly. He was quite thin when we got him so we are trying to satiate any hunger and feed him and get some weight on him. He will be a big boy full grown 120 lbs is our best guess.

Adopters should be highly experienced dog owners, understand his needs, and be willing to sign up for puppy training in order to get him on the road to being the best doggy citizen he can be. Available to adopt with a Neuter agreement (adopters must provide neuter certificate at 7 months given his breed size this is our vets earliest recommended age.)

Up-to-date on shots, micrcochipped, bordetella and rabies. $375 adoption donation.

Hugo

Hugo is a sweet Rottie mix just looking for a family to take him in.  We suspect he was very loved by someone as he came to us a bit overweight, but house-trained and attentive to commands (sit, stay, down).  He absolutely loves his daily walks and only pulls a little when he gets excited.  He does greet other dogs, cats, and people with barks that can be alarming to those not comfortable with dogs, but there is not a mean bone in this big boy's body.  He gets along great with other dogs when he's allowed to greet them, and enjoys playtime at the dog park.  Want to play? Though not great at fetch, he loves a good tug-o-war session,  and afterward he's all about the couch/bed cuddles and naps.  Wherever you are, is where he wants to be!

Kahlua

Sweet puppy Kahlua has been raised on the ranch since she was 7 weeks old. Good with dogs, cats, and people. She already knows how to use a doggy door and sleeps through the whole night tucked under the covers in your arms. Kahlua is looking for a loving home with the following:

Commitment to continued puppy training

A flexible work schedule/ time to devote to a puppy

A dog friend/role model in the home

Preference to: homeowners with fenced yard & people with experience raising dogs.

Available with a spay agreement we can set adopters up for a low cost spay at 20 weeks. Up to date on puppy shots, she will also need her rabies shot at 16 weeks.

13 weeks, bulldog/pittie mix may be 60 lbs full grown. Adoption Donation $375.

INDI

Sweet Indi came to us with 6 young puppies. She raised the puppies here on the ranch and lived with us in our home amongst our pack. She was such a great mom, and all her puppies have found homes, now it's her turn.

Still a pup herself, 12 month old Indi is longing for a family to call her own! Her personality gets bigger every day now that she can just be a dog an not a mom.

She loves playing with all the dogs and any dog who will let her, though she is smart and will give a new dog time to adjust/feel them out.

She is fast like any good italian greyhound and we think she is mixed with Jack Russell as well. She loves snuggling on your lap but also keeps up with the big dogs and can run alongside the tractor all afternoon.

A home with a playful dog, lots of people to love on her, moderate activity level that will take her on hikes and play time in the park, as well as a flexible schedule is ideal.

Adoption Donation $250 includes spay, microchip, vaccinations and utd on monthly preventatives

Gigi

Sweet, Gentle Giant Gigi the Great Pyrenees is a sensitive girl with a heart of gold!

Bought from a breeder as a puppy, she was kept in the backyard most of her short life so is very underexposed to the world.

She travels well in a car, is quiet, does not bark, and does not have a mean bone in her body. She is learning how to walk on leash and would do well with a mellow, friendly role-model dog in the home to help her gain confidence and teach her how to dog.

She will be an amazing dog to breed experienced owners who understand that though she is 11 months, it's like starting with a big over sized puppy who just needs love and guidance.

You will fall in love instantly with this special soul! We are smitten and will only accept the best home for her as this is her second chance, and we want to get it right!

Adoption Donation $375 includes spay, microchip, vaccinations and monthly preventatives

Benji

Benji is feeling a little lost after the shelter and being returned from an adoption. He loves his people so so so much! The former adopters were not willing to try even the most basic of steps to work with Benji so we are making sure this time around he lands people who will!

Benji is good with other dogs and may do well with a friendly dog role model in the home to keep company. A home with a flexible work schedule that can provide lots of companionship would also work.

Benji is so adorable so everyone really wants to adopt him, but WE want the people that will love him enough to put some time and effort into him especially as transitions seem very hard on him! Transitions are rough on all dogs and being recently neutered, as well as bouncing from the shelter and different homes has not helped him feel comfortable.

Experienced adopters who will provide him love, structure and training a must -- will get a wonderful, loyal dog in return! $250 adoption donation: Neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and ready to be yours!

Bubba

Bubba is a happy, playful, goofy young boy. B-boy will thrive in an active, social home with another doggy friend to romp around with! Affectionate and sweet as can be.

A family who will provide him with exercise and continued training to channel his smarts, is ideal. Affectionate, funny, loves playing fetch and tag. Travels well in a car, walks well on leash, good in public spaces and house-trained.

10 month Collie/Pointer/Lab/Spaniel mutt 58 lbs neutered and vaccinated. Adoption Donation $250.

Lani

Little Miss Social Lani is a sweet, happy, playful girl good with dogs and all people. She is affectionate, goofy, and gets bursts of happy-lap energy but is a perfect blend of active and mellow.

She is housetrained, travels well in the car, very well-behaved in the home and noisy, crowded spaces. She will be a great family dog, or an addition to a home with another playful friend.

This certified-good girl will be a great addition to many different types of homes looking for a well-socialized, friendly, happy-go-lucky dog.

Adoption Donation $150 includes spay, microchip, vaccinations, and utd on monthly preventatives. 50 lb low rider, 4 yrs, staffordshire/boxer mix.

Lexi

Sweet Lexi is an adorable, trusting, gentle girl, good with friendly dogs, and kids. She may do well in a home with nice, mellow cats, given proper/slow intros.

She is affectionate, easy going, great on leash, well-behaved in public and the home. She deserves the best family -- one that will treat her like a true and cherished member. Lexi is currently being fostered in Davis Ca with two dozen UCD Frat brothers who love her very much! She is the mascot and house-dog right now and is loving all the attention! A social family or a person that can provide lots of companionship would be our hope for this deserving girl.

Unfortunately someone chopped off her ears but it didn't affect her heart and spirit. This is a special soul and she deserves someone who will treat her like a princess after a life where she probably didn't get much attention. We do not know much about where she came from, as she landed at the Solano Shelter as a stray.

$150 adoption donation includes spay, microchip, vaccination and she is up to date on monthly preventatives. 45-50 lbs, 6-7 yrs, american staffordshire mix.

Huey

Huey is an active, playful boy who will thrive in a family experienced with herding breeds.

An active social home that can continue to let him play with dogs, get lots of running and playing in and commitment to continued training. Happy, wiggly, adorable petite, slender athletic pup!

Crate-trained, house-trained, loves going bye bye in the car, well-behaved in the home; could use work with heeling on leash; loves going on hikes and out to the dog-friendly facilities. Would love to be your companion and best friend to go everywhere with you.

Coco

1.5 yr Catahoula Leopard Dog/Lab

Coco is a sweet, affectionate girl who is longing to be someone's best friend. We picked up Coco from a local shelter after she had been surrendered by her former owner. The notes read: "Dogs attacking this dog. This dog kept in backyard only."

Despite a rough start, Coco is a happy girl hoping that her next home can commit to forever and provide her with companionship, love and continued training/structure. She loves playing fetch and carrying her stuffed squeaky toys from room to room! Coco always has a smile on her face.

While Coco would prefer to be an only dog in the home, she can hang out on the farm with our dogs around. She does not like dogs in her space; we believe her feelings towards dogs is very fear-based, so a dog-savvy adopter would be most ideal for Coco. It is very important to practice consistent parallel walks with other dogs as much as possible to help Coco curb her leash reactivity and fear. She has been on a number of walks with other dogs and does very well, but needs to keep her skills up in her new home too!

55 lbs, spayed,, microchipped and up to date on shots. Coco's adoption donation is $125 with help towards leash-reactivity training provided!

WENDY

1-2 y.o. TERRIER MIX

Mama Wendy was saved from a high kill shelter along with her 5 puppies. They had been found under a house and animal control pulled them out then brought them to the shelter. She was terrified there and extremely nervous. A rescue was going to save the puppies but leave the mother behind to be euthanized. We could NOT let that happen.

Within a few days of being here with us on the ranch, Mama began to come out of her shell. She greets us with wiggly butts and happy tail wags. She is still very shy and timid and needs a very experienced home to help her continue to blossom. A home with another dog role model would be ideal.

TRIXIE

PLEASE NOTE: TRIXIE IS CURRENTLY BEING FOSTERED IN SANTA CRUZ CA & AVAILABLE FOR MEET AND GREETS IN THE MONTEREY BAY AREA.

Easy, peasy, wanna-squeezy, Trixie girl is an affectionate, well-behaved lady looking for the best forever home. Great with cats, dogs, and kids, she will make the perfect addition to a home with a flexible work schedule, committed to daily walks and lots of cuddles!

ouse trained, good in the car, on leash, in the home and out and about. Spayed, up to date on shots, microchipped, 33 lbs.
