meet florence!
Florence is a gentle soul, who loves to cuddle and play with her humans and dog friends. She’s in a foster home with children, 2 dogs, a rabbit and has also been tested with cats. She’s very gentle with children, and loves to snuggle up and have pets but would do best in a home with respectful children 10 years or older because of her larger breed size and gentle demeanor.
Florence is still a pup and would do best in a home with a confident, friendly dog who would like a playful companion. Tug of war is her favorite, as well as playing with squeaker toys and sticks. She’s crate trained and will go in her crate when she’s tired, or feeling nervous. She also uses a bell when she wants to go outside. Florence knows basic commands such as “sit,” “leave it,” and “go lay down.” She’s treat motivated, leashed trained, and learning all about new objects, sounds and smells.
Florence would thrive in a home that has a flexible work schedule and time to continue her training. She loves to explore her surroundings and is curious and alert when outside. Her foster mom is running with her and she is a very good hiking companion.
