meet cookie
Cookie’s origin story is a bit of a mystery, but her future is bright!! After being found as a stray in Yolo County, she quickly befriended all the staff and other dogs at the shelter. Cookie is gentle, energetic, confident, playful, and sweet as can be. She’ll win you over quickly with her kisses and wiggly personality. At two years old and just 18 pounds, she is tiny but mighty! She has a lot of energy and loves to play with you and other dogs, but will also cuddle up next to you for a nap while watching a show in the evenings or look out the window from your couch (or your lap) while you work.
She’s a cattle dog mix, so she is very smart and loves a job! She will be happy to keep tabs on you and will be perfect for someone with an active lifestyle or the willingness to make sure she gets a lot of play and physical/mental stimulation.
A little more about Cookie:
• Dog friendly and loves to play (would do well with other dogs or as a solo dog)
• Not reactive on leash
• Good with people
• Can be left alone in the house without separation anxiety or destruction
• Active, fun, affectionate personality
Cookie is still learning the ropes of walking on leash, mealtimes, and going potty, but she is a quick learner and will thrive in a home that has the patience to train and love her. She is eager to please her people, and will settle into your routine quickly with consistency, love, and inclusion.
She is one smart Cookie, and we can’t wait for her to find her forever home!
