Playful & Innocent Theon

meet theon

Meet handsome, playful Theon. This 11-month-old pup is everything you want in a young dog — joyful, resilient, goofy, and endlessly ready for adventure. At just 39 pounds currently, he should mature to around 50 pounds: the perfect medium-sized companion for hikes, runs, beach days, or curling up after playtime.

Theon absolutely loves to play. If there’s a person or dog nearby willing to engage, he’s all in — and if no one is available, he’ll happily entertain himself with toys. He especially perks up around other dogs and has been gentle and respectful meeting all kinds of animals on our farm, including large horses, who he greeted with calm curiosity and zero reaction. While we can’t officially confirm cat compatibility, Theon has generally shown himself to be very neutral and appropriate during new animal introductions.

His story is heartbreaking. Theon was found in Los Angeles with a rope fully embedded into his neck, requiring emergency removal by shelter veterinarians. It appears this sweet puppy spent much of his young life tied outside and neglected. We truly believe he survived by chewing through the rope himself to go seek help before it killed him.

And yet — despite everything — Theon remains incredibly kindhearted, trusting, and full of life. He is innocent in the purest sense of the word. Friendly with people, eager to connect, and so willing to learn.

Theon is highly food motivated, making him a wonderful candidate for continued training. He walks well on leash, enjoys exploring, loves water, and will happily chase a ball. He was initially unsure about the car, but once inside settled quickly and realized it meant adventure. We could easily see him becoming someone’s trail buddy or running companion.

Mostly, Theon deserves what he has never truly had before: a family that sees him, values him, and keeps him safe forever.
