meet gertrude
Gertrude is a 6-year-old German Shepherd who was rescued from the Kern County shelter, where she was at risk of being euthanized.
It is clear Gertrude has not had the easiest life. She appears to have been overbred and came into rescue needing some extra care, but what has stood out most is just how happy, friendly, and loving she is.
Gertrude is a wonderful dog with a gentle nature and a big heart. She enjoys being around people, gets along well with other dogs, and has a cheerful, affectionate personality that makes her easy to love.
